Artist Statement

The darker side of our human nature was captured in a painting entitled  “Imposter Syndrome” where each one of us tends to put on a face that is different from who we actually are. The glowing underpainting shines through in the form of oval egg shape found scattered on the paintings once the mask is uncovered. The egg shape is my own personal symbolism that represented “Birth”. The sinister-looking texture and random gestural lines created an ambience of uneasiness but in the background are the horizontal lines that anchor these instabilities.
